Rongoā Māori
Healing through connection, tradition, and aroha.
Rongoā Māori is a holistic healing practice grounded in mātauranga Māori (traditional knowledge) and deep connection to the natural environment. Passed down through generations, rongoā has long been a cornerstone of wellbeing for whānau Māori — and today, it is a pathway to healing that supports all New Zealanders.
Practices may include mirimiri and romiromi (bodywork), rongoā rākau (plant-based remedies), mahi wairua (spiritual support), kōrero (talking therapy), and strengthening of connection to whakapapa and te taiao.
