TUI ALLIED HEALTH
Massage
Release tension, reduce pain, and support your overall wellbeing.
Massage therapy uses hands-on techniques to ease tension, relieve pain, and restore balance to the body. By applying gentle or firm pressure to muscles and joints, massage can reduce stress, improve circulation, and support both physical and emotional wellbeing.
Our massage service
At Tui Allied Health, our trained massage therapists provide personalised treatments tailored to your needs. Whether you are recovering from injury, managing ongoing pain, or simply wanting to relax and recharge, massage can be an effective way to support your health.
How massage works
The principle goal of a session may be relaxation, clinical/remedial/therapeutic treatment, or movement and energy restoration. During a massage session, therapists may use a variety of techniques depending on your needs:
Swedish massage
Long strokes, kneading, circular movements, vibration, and tapping.
Deep tissue massage
Firm pressure to release tension in deeper muscles and connective tissue.
Myofascial release
Gentle technique that relieves tightness by loosening the fascia around muscles.
Neuromuscular therapy
Targets trigger points and muscle imbalances to reduce pain and improve movement.
Trigger point therapy
Applies focused pressure to knots in muscles to relieve pain and restore function.
Re-education
Movement re-education and energy work.
MASSAGE
What to expect during a session
Your therapist will discuss your health concerns and goals.
You will be positioned comfortably, often lying on a massage table.
Pressure and techniques will be adapted to your needs.
Sessions may focus on specific areas of tension (back, shoulders, legs) or provide a full-body treatment.
After your session, you may feel relaxed, lighter, and experience improved movement and reduced tension.
